I'm Back!

I can't believe I've abandon my blog for over a year.
Life has been so busy, but I'm trying to get back into the swing of things.

I have one really good reason why:

We will soon leave the only place our family has called home, to plant new roots in the state of Virginia!

Brad's job is taking us to the Virginia Beach area, in the beginning of
2014.

We do not have an exact date, or even an exact month yet.
We have no clue as to where we will live, or even an exact area.
We have yet to even visit the area.
Do y'all have ANY clue as to what all these "unknowns" can do to someone with OCD tendencies?

With all that aside
We are thrilled!
The kids know we are moving, but have no concept of location.
If you tell them they will have the ocean as their playground 24/7, they will be just fine! :)

We have prayed about this decision for months.
We are at complete peace, picking up our family and moving 6 hours away

 Though,
we will miss our family and friends desperately
we know this is the right decision for our family

Brad has worked extremely hard for this
To say I am one proud wife would be an understatement!
It didn't come easy, by any means
Lots of tears were shed, and a whole lot of sleepless nights were had.

My plan is to keep this blog updated so our family and friends stay updated on our new adventure, and with the kiddos.

Pray for us.
Pray that we find a home that meets all of our needs.
Pray that we have a smooth move.
Pray we find a church that we can call home.

Until next time!
:)

He is here!

Wednesday we all woke up with smiles on our faces..
We were all excited to meet baby James!

Jocqueline was induced early Wednesday morning, so we all headed to the hospital around lunch time to play the waiting game..

One last picture of The Propst
 family of 8!

With the baby's heart beat descending, Jocqueline headed in for a C-Section around 11pm.
At 11:12pm my nephew made his way into this world..
So without further adieu..
I introdude to you..
James Edward Poole Propst
6lbs 14.5 ounces
20.5 inches long

Isn't he beautiful?

Around 2 am we finally were able to meet him.
Brad is a extremely excited uncle!

While I am one proud Aunt!
Gammy D holding her grandson, while the proud daddy looks on

(I didn't get any pictures of Pop-E holding him yet! Hopefully I will tonight! Sorry Pop-E!)

Caroline was eager to kiss him

 and hold him too..
while Grant was perfectly content with just looking on!

Grant says he is waiting for him to get bigger so he can hug him!

We are so excited to welcome baby James to our family!

Congratulations Wes and Joc!

Chimney Rock

We enjoyed our Sunday afternoon with a day trip to Chimney Rock with Gammy D and Pop-E.
The weather was overcast and kind of on the cool side for June.
I love the fact that we can be in the mountains in 1.5 hours and at the beach in 3.5 hours.

On the way up, we stopped for a bite of ice cream.
One of my favorite pictures of these 4!

Before we got to Chimney Rock we stopped for a stroll around Lake Lure
2 of the 4 looking at the camera.
We will count this picture a success!
When we arrived in Chimney Rock we let the kiddos put their feet in the freezing water.
Grant had a ball looking through the telescope.
Who knows if he actually saw anything, but he said he did!
We located th Geeneral Store to let the kids pick out candy.
I think this has become one of our new family traditions.
I love it!
:)
Grant was all smiles with his candy finds.

We has a blast spending the day as a family.
I know the kids as well as Brad and I look forward to many more days like this!

Say a quick prayer as our family is getting ready to welcome another sweet baby to the family!
Baby James should be born sometime this afternoon!!

The first thing Grant said this morning is "It's baby James Birthday!!!!!"

Grant goes Golfing!

Watch out and take cover!!
Grant has gone GOLFING!

I am sure every mom would say this about her son, but he really is good!
After we left the gym Monday, we met Brad at the driving range to let Grant hit some balls.

I took the kids home to get ready for dinner, while Brad stayed behind to wrap up.
As we were pulling out, he said "I just love my dad.  That was nice of him to play with me"

I love that Brad and Grant have found a sport they can play together.
I am a little worried though...
Doesn't golf require you to be silent at times?
Yeah, well that may be a problem for G-Man!

Birthday Dinner

To celebrate Caroline's 2nd Birthday we met with our families and rode the train down to Pike's Soda Shop in downtown Charlotte.
It was the perfect way to celebrate Sweet C's birthday.
 She had a blast!

Happy Birthday Caroline!!

Caroline 2 year check-up

Caroline had her 2 year old check up yesterday.

Here are her current stats:
Weight: 26.2 pounds (25-50th Percentile)
Height: 33 inches (25-50th Percentile)
Head Circumference- 19.5 inches (90-95th Percentile)

Her doctor visit was quick and simple.  No shots this visit, PTL!
I don't think Diva Caroline or this Momma could have handled shots this go around.

Caroline screamed "NO" every time the doctor would touch her, look at her and even when speaking to her.  Thankfully she told me this was very common little girls!

Caroline,
We can't believe you are already TWO!
You seem so big at times, but other times you are still my little baby.
It is hard to imagine that at 2, Grant was already a BIG brother!
Don't worry..we have no plans on making you a big sister.
You bring us so much laughter and joy.

Here is what you have been up to:

You wear a size 4 diaper.

You wear 2T sometimes 3T clothes.

You wear a size 6 shoe.

You hair is getting so long.
I have often thought about cutting it, but I just can't do it.
We love your little curls at the end.

You are becoming a picky eater.
You still love to eat, but you only love snack food.
You are becoming very picky when it comes to meat.
  I can't say I blame you..I don't like it much myself.

You LOVE chocolate milk.

You can say so many words now.
In the past 2 months your vocabulary has grown tremendously.

You love riding on the boat.
Every time we pass a boat either on the lake or the road you yell "Momma, Momma, Boat! Boat!"  Your dad and I just laugh :)

You love baby dolls, and babies in general.
You are going to make such a good mommy..in 30 years!

You favorite store to visit, is hands down the bookstore!
You love, love, love books!

Your two year molars have yet to come in.
I am dreading when they do.
You are pretty dramatic these days.

We have introduced you to the potty.
The morning of your 2nd birthday, you woke up with a dry diaper, and then went potty first thing.
This was the first time your daddy actually saw you use the potty.

You are such a girly girl, but you would also change out your hair bows for a baseball hat in a heart beat.

You LOVE shoes!
The expensive kind too....
Poor daddy!

I hope you know how much you are loved sweet girl!
